Vivien Tota

Vivien Tota received her formation and certification in Spiritual Direction through the Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality at Fairfield University. Trained in an evocative contemplative approach to spiritual direction, Vivien’s greatest hope is to offer directees the space to listen to the voice within, and take a long, loving look at God’s grace in their lives.

Vivien has worked as a registered nurse for 25 years - the last 10 years have been in hospice, which has been one of the greatest honors of her life. She believes that, through God’s grace in her life and work, she has many gifts to bring to spiritual direction; through her compassion, love, patience, and hope, directees find a safe space to share what is meaningful and sacred. Among the treasures in her life, Vivien greatly enjoys quiet mornings in prayer, baking bread, birding, and time with her husband Bob. Their adult children, Robert and Catherine, are the loves of their lives and live nearby. She also cherishes time with her brother Martin, her extended family, and last but not least, her lifelong close friends.
